Well, it could be due to an Integer Overflow where a numerical value (In this case your on hand money) wraps around to a lower number due to not having a valid value to increase to.

My guess as to the maximum amount you can carry would be 4,294,967,295 Pounds, if it was stored in an 8-bit register.

As said in the title, the map for Dark-RP is red and I have to download it every time I want to play. Is this a client-side problem that I should be able to fix on my own or has this been seen before?

It just makes me wait longer that usual so, not a very high demand fix.
