Have had this problem before but I had to uninstall Gmod and reinstall losing all dupes and other things. Any other way to fix? Yes, I have tried and shutting down PC.

In my oppinion the best solution is to restart gmod/PC and type retry in the console, after the connection failed
But I never use the server list, i always use the server adress or the connection shortcut http://cloudgamingeu.co.uk/servers

For the DarkRP Addons it should be automatic, if you still got some errors type retry in the console (it will reconect you and re-download the missing files)
