It wasn’t solely for punching Rhys  but the initial mrb ban was for fighting in the the jail cells

Damn. Throughout my playtime on this server, I've never been punished, provided punishment or witnessed a punishment for players fighting to the death in the RP jail.

I have seen punishments dished out when a non-arrested player goes into the RP jail and decides to fight or shoot the arrested players. But if you've been arrested and decide to punch your cellmate - I have never known that to warrant an RDM punishment.

Maybe this is something that the senior staff need to clarify, this thread clearly shows a confusion on the matter.

  3. Any ideas why this is happening?

The gang I am in is level 15. Yet the only benefit I have of this is the ability to use the gang printer plugin.

However, I don't spawn with an unarrest baton, a tommy gun, any amount of armour, the CSS knife, a pickaxe, a hammer. Nothing.

  4. So, I joined today and all of a sudden, player models that were not affected by 'player colour' suddenly are. For example, SWAT models and the Sniper model.

Is this something only I'm experiencing? I joined a few sandbox servers recently so maybe an add-on was downloaded to do this client side but I can't seem to locate it.

  5. The Martingale Strategy is so commonly used, but in most cases it becomes redundant very quickly and in almost all cases, especially this one, will not improve your odds at all.

If you're really wanting to try and strategically win flips on a gmod server, then I would suggest stepping back from it because it really isn't that deep.

What is defined as "clear danger"?

Exactly lmao. I think the rule is flawed too. Perhaps this should be turned into a suggestion to remove it, but until then a clear danger is someone shooting at others, or I guess surrounding others or pinning them to a corner at gunpoint.

Doing this completely negates the purpose of CP. It's in the name for fucks sake. Civil PROTECTION. You cannot protect if you must wait. If someone is seen as a threat you do not wait. Putting this into real life. If you see someone who is holding a rifle and looks like he has a bomb strapped to his chest. Do you wait for him to shoot someone before you act? Of course you don't thats retarded

So if the Mayor was standing out the PD and a dude walks around to the Mayor with a weapon out. No other cops have visual on this and only you do you wouldn't take the shot and possibly wait for them to shoot/kill the Mayor or to allow his life being in danger. If that's me up there then am taking the shot because it's their fault for having the weapon out.

Lmao don't come at me I'm only going off what rule is in place at the moment  I'm not denying that there is a flaw in this. If they are a clear danger to others then sure fire away but until then you have to arrest first.

But if it's a weapon on view to innocent civilians and it states on laws weapons are illegal or the dude is waving the said weapon around another swat. If I get my eyes on him and have the perfect shot then am gonna want to take it because anything can happen when a civilian has a weapon out. If I've been posted on top of the hotel am not gonna do James Bond and jump off the roof and by the time I have run downstairs, they would be gone. Bugbating is a little petty as it causes no harm to anyone but a weapon is far worse because who knows what can happen.

You can't kill them unless they shoot. If you can't/don't want to get down and arrest them, then wait it out until they do shoot and take the shot.

I understand that this prevents you from being able to do your job and protect people before a kill occurs and that it is most likely that a kill will take place, but it is either that or have CP members kill players over ever law break.

If they begin to shoot people with the said weapon, open fire - If not you must attempt to get to them and arrest them according to the rules, I agree it's slightly confusing but once you understand it it's alright.

    This^

If they are just walking around with a weapon out, not shooting anyone, and weapons are illegal then you must approach them and arrest them.

If they are shooting others, then they are a danger to your life and other player's lives, therefore you can shoot them.

The whole AOS before KOS rule is so that people can't just minge kill players for breaking a law that doesn't put their life in danger or a law that is small. (For example, "it is against the law to bugbait CP members" - oH hE iS bUgBaItInG mE? tHaT mEaNs I mUsT sHoOt HiM - No, you arrest them, unless they are resisting arrest and running away then sure fire away if you want to as long as you have tried arresting first)

  10. Hi @OMGItsAir

This is the case with a lot of custom jobs that aren't very active or don't have many slots. The reason for this is because the F4 menu's layout and formatting were recently updated, and thus a lot of job descriptions were changed to match this with the exception of some jobs that maybe aren't as well known, or that roast forgot about. Mine is the same and I asked for it to be changed in a bug post, but it wasn't answered. Good luck, I hope it gets edited.

  11. Really this whole thing is redundant.

If you are selling something, I don't see the point in saying "I pay fee" or "you pay fee" - Just list the price that the buyer will be paying and then that is it. I understand that some things have original prices however just state how much they will be paying and let them decide if they want to invest in it. People tend to put "Selling for £20 - Not including fee" meaning the buyer has to pay £25, so just state that it is £25 and avoid this confusion.

In both situations, you'll be paying for the fee out of the money you get from the buyer anyhow (Unless you use your own money to pay it off which, again, still means you'd be losing £5 of your bank balance)

None the less this is a helpful guide for those confused with fees.
