Cloud gaming MOTD/Rules guide:
Player Conduct
1.1 Disrespect: Any kind of immoral language, discrimination or harrassment towards anyone will not be tolerated.
[What this means is any immoral lanaguage/vulgar langauge used in a way to attack/insult another player. Generally you might get way with the odd petty remark though you should be careful not to use language to another which might be deemed unessisary given it's a community, for which we all should be civil]
[In addition to this some words such as "Retard" - "Faggot" - "The N word" can get you into trouble, these would be examples of immoral lanauge which should be avoided and would go under discrimination, there are a few colourful exmples of this, for which you should know not to say]
[Finally harrassment would generally be repeated use of vulgar/ immoral lanauge towards a person of the process of an action unwanted and uncalled for which cause a person distress. Be mindful of others and should they wish you to leave them alone, please do so]
1.2 Chat: Do not argue/rant in OOC/advert. All messages should be in English. Contain no links (unless its a Cloud Gaming link). Contain no advertising of any sort.
[Do not argue in public server wide communications, this is generally to avoid drama on the server and generally for new players it does not create a good impression. If you wish to argue amongst you and another, do it privately.
[All messages should be english generally just for the purpose of better communication given it's a UK based server. Nothing more to be said really]
[You're not permitted to send any links via in game messaging with the acception of private messaging, do not advertise in any way non related to the server, keep it roleplay. You can advertise custom job sales, or gang recruitment, just keep it about the server. This is simple to understand, please try to avoid website names in names and in all other forms, the punishment for advertising is steep]
1.3 Punishmet: Avoiding punishment in any means is forbidden.
[In otherwords, do not leave the server to avoid punishment, this falls under LTAP. If you've been jailed for a rulebreak, you're fine to leave but be aware that you'll be rejailed for "LTA" upon return for the original time]
[If you have broken a rule, please do not leave the server for doing so may cause you to be punished for "LTAP" which is a 3 day ban. Overall just be mindful and try to stay out of trouble and you'll be fine]
1.4 Scamming: You shall not attempt to or actually scam a person out of their money in any way possible.
[This means don't attempt/scam someone out of in game/in real life money. Be reasonable and kind, generally make sure people are comsated fairly and don't do anything that could make them lose money unfairly]
[The best example of this would be charging money for a gun from a gundealer shop but not honouring the deal and giving them the item they have purchased, this is luckily not too common but be careful]
1.5 Currency: The act of selling any form of in game currency for real life money is not allowed. You can also not use gambling systems to transfer tokens to your alt accounts.
[This would be for example selling £100,000,000 in game money for £30 in real life money, this would not be allowed, this is a bit of an uncommon rule but that's how I understand it]
1.6 Spamming: You must not use the microphone or chat to spam unintelligible noises or annoying sounds / words. When using advert you must wait at least 2 minutes before sending out the same message again.
[If you wish to play sound through your microphone it must be clear to hear and must be an acceptable volume, this means try to avoid earrape, in addition avoid any annoying sounds which no one wants to hear, it's pretty easy to assume what might not be acceptable in regards to this]
[There is a cooldown for adverts in chat that are the same message, so in otherwords don't spam adverts and dont post the same message in adverts under two mins, you can have two different adverts back to back though if you wanted to]
1.7 Cheating: Do not use third party software to gain an advantage over other players.
[As you might assume, you are not permitted to use and dodgy console commands/ third party softwares to gain an unfair advantage than normal players, this means no aimbot, no wall hacking, no bhop scrips, nothing of the sort. This is rather easy ro understand though I'll let it be said for the purpose of additional information]
1.8 Problems: Do not attempt to cause problems within the community.
[This means in simple words, do not cause problems for the community or indivuduels that generally cause toxcity and unarest within the community. The main example of this could be a serious example of 1.1 against an indivuduel or group, normally harrassment/discrimination. Being general hateful towards people and attempting to create drama and upset people. One other example would be targetting a person with hits with the purpose of harrassing them using in game functions, this has been an offence under 1.8 in the past]
1.9 Names: You must only use english characters for your name with no excessive spacin, unicode characters are not allowed.
[This means no foreigh lettering or any other symbols on the standard keyboard. No names which generally cannot be typed out. This is just to make things easier and to avoid certain moderation issues/other]
1.10 Exploiting: You must not attempt to exploit or loophole intended server functions for personal gain (this includes skills, tokens and in game money).
[This would be just doing this you should be to gain an advantage, I'll give a list of the examples given to best inform of what to avoid.
This is a extended version of the exploiting rule, explaining some of the way people may try to exploit on the server. This list contains most but is not limited to just this list. This list may be edited at anytime so be sure to keep yourself up to date on the lastest updates.
General
Using the context menu to gain advantage whilst shooting.
Using unintended sweps to gain an advantage in mining.
Bypassing mute via in game commands.
Having a custom job command with pre-set in game commands.
Placing props in skybox.
Gaining skill progress from out of rp activities.
Use of props to go through impassable barriers.
Switching weapons to avoid animations to gain an advantage in combat.
Bypassing demotion in any way.
Using hidden console commands.
Skill abuse.
Civil Protection
Stopping bank raid whilst dead as CP.
Criminal
Inflating prices of weed for financial gain.
Using camo to mug someone.
Putting a hit on yourself to negate wanted status.
Bypassing restrictions to complete deliveries.
Use of in-game commands to set hits.
Avoiding wanted system.
Standing within NPCs to avoid being arrested/killed.
Turf
Bypassing NLR.
Using cloak to gain an advantage.
Going underground for turf.
GoKart on turf.
Abusing the mutant job in turf.
Killing yourself outside turf zone to avoid turf NLR and regain health and armour.
1.11 Admin sits: Do not disrupt admin sits. If an admin sit is taking place, you cannot do any roleplay actions. E.g. Raiding a base while it’s being checked by a staff member.
[Just try to avoid staff members if you see them, unless you need something. If a staff member is speaking to someone be respectful and don't interrupt them in their duties. You may be punished for doing so please be careful. In simple terms if you see a staff member stay out of their microphone Prox and just let them do their thing]
[Here are some examples: No raiding bases with staff members in, do not kill anyone near a staff member, do not speak over staff members of the people they're speaking to, try not to shoot them or be annoying in anyway to stop them from doing their job]
[Feel free to talk to the staff, they're all lovely people just be respectful and midful of others]
1.12 Politics: Politics is strictly prohibited on this server. Any type of flags, text screens, in game names relating directly or indirectly to current events, nations or conflicts from the past or present are prohibited.
[The reason for this is that we all have our own opinions, views and beliefs. Overall we have a policy of avoiding anything that could provoke debates or problems. Politics is a slippy slope and so anything political is to be avoided, so that we all can co-exist happily]
[This means nothing political in the form of chat/voice messaging, props, text screen or other. No flags, symbols or messages that will spark controversy, in simple terms keep things to yourself to avoid people getting upset]
Roleplay
2.1 Random Death Match (RDM): Harming/killing another player must carry a reasonable ‘role-play reason’.
[This means you require a reason to kill someome for it to be valid. Straight up murder is not permitted unless there is a valid reason for doing so with comes under your job role, your roleplay job. For example if someone mugged you, you could then defend yourself and kill them (so long as you're not being mugged by 3 people and under fearrp) You might kill someone as a police officer if someone is being attacked, if someones life is in danger, you may defend the attacker. One more reason would be if you're defending a gang member. Under the rules of gangs, you may defend your fellow gang members if attacked. In simple terms, be careful where you shoot and make sure you do not damage people without a reason, bare in mind cross-fire would be ARDM (Attempted Random Death Match) so be careful where you shoot]
2.2 New Life Rule (NLR): Forget about your previous life and do not return to your area of death for at least 3 minutes.
[This rule isn't really explain in too much detail so I'll come into more detail so that it can be better understood given you'll following this rule is very important. If you die you may not return to the same location at which you died, under 3 minutes. This mean you cannot go back to the same general area of at which you died, opnions vary though just don't go within the 300 meter radius of the death area or so and you'll be fine, if you think of turf, you can use that as a general referance if you wish though that NLR caps of an entire reigion.
Any information from your last life is also forgotten, meaning you reset by roleplay terms, you respawn, with a "New Life". This means you can not use any infomation from your last roleplay experience in your new one, doing so would go under meta gaming and would be punishable. Bare in mind NLR will apply still if you die multiple times, meaning you can't go back to those different locations, otherwise you'd still be breaking NLR, so be mindful of where you've died and take care of the information you use. For example you cannot die to someone as a CP then want them, or see a printer, die and warrent someone for Illegal Activity, I think we get the point]
2.3 Meta gaming: The use of information gained in an out-of-character is not allowed.
[This goes along side NLR in some instances and pretty much means you can only use information in roleplay that was obtained within roleplay during roleplay. It means you cannot use any information from your last life in roleplay, or through means outside of the roleplay situation. One example would be if you knew someone was arrested due to them not owning a custom job, this would be Meta gaming. You might also break this rule if you are told information from a friend who is dead on the outside and it spectating. One other way would be if you PMed an officer that someone did a illegal act and should be wanted prior to dying and NLR applying. It's a rare one and it's easy enough to understand, hope this will do in explaining it]
2.4 Fail RP: To an extent, you must play in a realistic manner and roleplay with others. You can only role play with your gang when your jobs are compatible. E.g. CP's can not ally/defend anyone but CP's.
[This means that you must not do anything that would not be realisitic within the roleplay world. For example if would be Fail RP to draw a weapon and fire upon a group of 3 people who're mugging you, given you'd be under Fear RP meaning you must comply with their demands or you will die, and you cannot defend against it alone. You could also break Fail RP for building during a raid. You could also be punished for Fail RP if you were to raid an RP base given you cannot raid a RP base, or a base with a building sign. So play in a realistic manner, making sure you follow the rules and you'll be fine]
2.5 Props: Props surfing, climbing, blocking and general minging is not allowed. Do not spawn/move props in other players bases or during raids, this includes cameras and textscreens.
[Now although it is very entertaining to fuck about with props, you might get in trouble for doing so. Generally you should only use props for building, or other roleplay things. Meaning you should always meet the requirements for using props and only use them for the right purpose. Be a hobo/cj if you want to build on street and otherwise use props to build and nothing else, given the following things will get you jailed. Prop surfing is the process of using a prop to fly. Prop climbing is the process of using props to climb where you couldn't otherwise, with no intention to build but to abuse props. Prop blocking would be blocking off an area using props, you can block all but one enterance in a building, just bare in mind to not block off areas and make them inaccessable or trap people inside buildings/props. Only build where you're able, on streets if able / in a building you own / have permission to build in, otherwise don't build in those spaces if you're not able. Make sure not to build during a raid given that would be fail rp, pretty simple stuff]
2.6 Explosives: When using explosives you are held responsible for every player you kill or damage.
[This would go under attempted random death match / random death match given if you were to damage someone who you had no reason to damage, it'd be invalid and therefore ARDM/RDM, so be mindful when using explosives]
2.7 Cool down: Raiding/carjack is a 5 minute cooldown before attempting again on the same property/player (cooldown starts when the previous roleplay event ends). Mugging/kidnapping is a 2.5 minute cooldown before attempting again on anyone and a 15 minute cooldown before attempting again on the same player.
[This is well summed up already though I'll just say this is pretty much a thing just for balancing and making sure you cannot abuse the function constantly, baring mind breaking this rule can get you punished for 2.7]
2.8 Adverts: Adverts are not to be used to contact another player specifically. They should be used for RP reasons such as businesses.
[Pretty much don't use to to directly contact someone by name, only use them for a valid reason such as an advertisement for your gunshop or for an event or for gang recruitment or for other, lots you can use it for, pretty basic stuff]
Introduction:
In my opinion, a good staff application consists of the right things being said, and in a good amount of detail. You do not by any means need to write a massive 2,000 word application to cover all of the most important points, It's just a matter of wording them correctly.
To begin:
First off you should make sure that you click on the application form to make certain that you follow the template provided to ensure it is in the write format. You will first fill out the information section which will ask for your in game name (For example mine would be "Greywind", your steam (For example mine is STEAM_0:1:597651748, you can copy it off the profile interaction menu in game), your time zone (Mine is GMT) and your current rank (I would recommend both your in game and forum rank, My forum rank is "Collaborator and my in game rank is "vip"
What qualities as a staff member should you have?:
For this section I believe that the best way to go about filling out this section is to do the following.
Step 1: Name the quality
step 2: Explain in detail what it means
step 3: Explain why it is important
step 4: What are the benefits
For example:
Suggestions for qualities you should mention:
Knowledge:
Experience
Emotional Intelligence
Communication
Activity
Positivity
Teamwork
Dedication
Efficiency
All of these are good points to explain in detail given they're all things a staff should show when moderating a Dark RP server.
Why do you deserve a promotion / Extension of your rank?:
To fill out this section I believe the applicant should do the following.
Explain why you want to apply and explain why you deserve the promotion using the following pointers.
Show what qualities listed in your "What qualities as a staff member should you have?" section
Describe personal traits you posses which will be a benefit to the staff team
Explain personal traits you posses which will benefit the community
Conclude
(Bare in mind you can use the same template as shown above for the first section to further your points)

You should also consider the following
You should tell the truth because staff will support you more if they can relate to you and can confirm what you're saying and believe you.
You should not over do your application, keep it to the point and make it informative.
Try not to repeat yourself, keep it fresh and interesting.
(EXTREMELY IMPORTANT): Build a reputation for yourself, given yourself a good name and make yourself known amongst the staff. Being an active member of the community and someone people like will massively aid your application given that +SUPPORT from staff WILL effect the outcome (Also -SUPPORT will be considered as very bad for applications so try to avoid getting any if possible) This means getting to know the community and standing out as someone who is know for being kind, helpful and an upstanding member with good intentions and looking to do good by the people.
To conclude, applications are not so hard, and if you keep in mind what you're writing and you follow these pointers, you will do well and most likely get accepted.
