You can change the DNS on your own computer, no need to go in the router's settings. How, you ask? Good question. I have no clue what OS you are on, so I would google up on a guide specific to your OS. Good luck.

To be honest, I would just go back to use Mojave. I installed Catalina on my mac, and one thing you might not know is that a SHIT ton of programs are still 32-bit instead of 64-bit. Had to just downgrade so I could play my favourite games. Anyway, good guide. Didn't know this was a thing, so if Apple ever says "Fuck you" and forces you to update then I will use this.

I found this video that will show you how to do it. You could always search for more videos on YouTube. EDIT: Just note that it is not 100% correct (for example, you can use the physics gun on the stove but the YouTube video says that doesn't work).
