Only staff member willing to go on duty while the server had 70+ players on and 10+ RP-ing staff, when asked to go OD, staffed and dealt with reports immediately whilst some staff pretended to be AFK.
Very helpful and dealt with reports as quickly as he could, although he is a new mod, he is doing a great job at staffing! Disappointed in the how the staff team was acting, but he kept the speed up.

Now I know this is usually for staff members but normal players need some love too I mean they're the people that make the community what it is

In this guide you will learn how to properly defend yourself against violent attacks, muggings, police officers and more!
(Please note that I am in no way a professional and will not be held responsible should anything I mention here fail)
 
Defence against Muggings!
So, you've found yourself being mugged by some dumbass with a gun. They probably have it aimed right at your head ready to pull the trigger as soon as you move an inch. Hell they're probably counting on it cause they just do it for the kills!
The first thing to do is understand that you only have a few seconds before they get bored and kill you. So act fast! Having something like a police shield makes getting out of this situation both easy and amusing as one smack from the shield stuns them giving you enough time to get a few headshots in or at the very least enough time to get out of their firing line. (But again you won't have long for this as the stun only lasts about 3 seconds) 
Should you find yourself in this situation without a shield something like a baton should help as a smack from the baton will blind your enemy for a few seconds and if you right click will do some minor damage. I strongly recommend hitting them from the side with a baton if you can as this may knock them out of your direction making it harder to shoot you while blind firing.
If you don't have any of these items then the best thing to do is move from side to side as much as possible while returning fire if you have a weapon with you.
 
Defence against Police officers!
So, some new player decided to make an enemy of themselves to everyone on the server by playing as any CP job and now it seems like you're their next victim. Almost all CP jobs have arrest batons, HK MP5s, police shields and batons.
It is important to note that their arrest batons make close quarters combat incredibly risky and while engaging in combat with them distance should be maintained at all costs. It is essential to also avoid closed spaces where you can easily be cornered and arrested. For fighting any CP jobs similar to muggings police shields are almost essential and will make escaping arrest incredibly easy. The same tactic for evading muggers with police shields can be used for police officers however Ensure that you have a full magazine in your gun as police officers spawn with full armour. (I also recommend having backup weapons should you're ammo run out).
While engaging in firefights with CP it should be noted that they have police shields and that they will likely use them. In this case try moving around them or firing at any exposed body you can see (however be sure not to waste your ammo firing at their feet).
If a CP officer is harassing you I find warning binds like this (KOS if bothering, annoying, pointing weapon/batons weapon checking, bugbaiting or ignoring KOS signs, you will have 10 seconds) incredibly useful and coupled with the police shield tactic work wonders for getting rid of unwanted CP. Most people who play CP jobs end up with inflated egos so they will likely aim their weapons at you if you use binds like this just because they think they can easily kill/arrest you.
Once you have killed an officer an alert is sent to all other CP units so be prepared for backup (if they can even be bothered going over to you).
Defence against seemingly random attacks!
Sometimes in the magical world of darkrp people will get bored and go postal killing anyone they feel like. or maybe they just thought "this guys existence just pisses me off, i'm gonna kill him".
In either of these cases chances are that if you don't react quickly enough you will end up dead. (sometimes in situations like this, this is the best option as it makes reporting people for RDM so much easier as the damage logs are much harder to sort through than the death logs. Also be sure to get a screen recording of the whole thing cause 9/10 times people will lie their asses off in sits to get out of trouble).
If like me you also have an inflated ego and hate the thought of a stranger thinking they're better than you then the best thing for you to do is to simply kill them as quickly as possible. For this I recommend shotguns and sniper rifles with high fire rates like the Striker shotguns or PSG sniper rifles (even if they have been nerfed to hell). 
It is important to note that if someone is mass RDMing then they won't care about any of the server rules and will likely job abuse, break NLR, prop block and much more! In these circumstances making reports is the only thing to do as trying to get revenge can often backfire end you may end up getting punished as well. Use !report [Issue] and then wait patiently for the admin to deal with the situation. They may take a long time if multiple people are making reports so telling them to "do their jobs" or "Stop being lazy" in OOC helps no one.

Once you've got your skin cut and clipping masked. Save it as a .png. We'll use a simple Red Tiger camo from MW2 as our example skin. 
 


 
Open up VTFEdit and go to File > Import and select your skin. You'll be greeted with a screen like this
 

 
Within the spoiler below should be all the information you need on picking the right settings for the best outcome

 
 
Once you have your desired settings save it as a .VTF file. Make sure you call it the same as whatever the weapon part you chose was called. For eg. we change the receiver from the ak folder.

Go to your garrysmod addons folder, commonly found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons
Find the desired addon, for us, we're using the AK-47 from the M9K assault rifles pack. 
Open up another instance of file explorer and head to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin here you'll find a file called gmad
All you need to do is drag the addon file on top of gmad.exe and it'll create a folder with everything needed to see your skin in game.
 
 
 

This should open a command prompt just give it a few seconds and it'll be done.
If you scroll back up to the top of your addons you should now see a folder. 

Create a backup of this folder so you can access the original materials, or if you can't be bothered you could always reinstall the addon after you're finished. 
You're going to want to open it up to here, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons\m9k_assault_rifles_128089118\materials\models\weapons\v_models
This'll give you access to all the weapons in the pack so if you want to do it on one of the other weapons you can. For us, we're going to open up the folder called "thanez_ak". Once open replace the existing file(or files depending on what and how many parts you altered) with your textured skin. Open up or tab back into gmod and your skin should be on your weapon. 


 
Obviously, there's much more you can do and each weapon has multiple parts, but that's for you to figure out (because I can't get my tiny brain around it yet) You may want to be careful because certain parts will cause your skin to be flipped.
